UBC Studios win Platinum and Gold from Hermes Creative Awards

We are pleased to announce that UBC Studios, UBC’S on-campus digital media production unit offering end-to-end creative media production and support services, won Platinum for their “Study What Moves You” Banner for the School of Kinesiology and Gold for their Illustrations for CoAdaptree’s Research Survey from this year’s Hermes Creative Awards!  They also received Honorable mention for their research and community videos for UBC Environmental Sciences.  

Hermes is the largest competition of its kind in the world.  It is focused on concept, writing and design of traditional materials, marketing and communication programs, and emerging technologies.

About the Projects:

  • Study What Moves You

This 15x20 feet banner image represents elements of the field of kinesiology, with anatomical, physiological and biomechanical design features superimposed on the photograph of Musqueam athlete, Scarlett Sparrow-Felix. The banner symbolizes the future and the recognition of history, people and place, and the important role the School of Kinesiology, and Athletics and Recreation play in the evolution of the university. 

 

  • CoAdaptree’s Research Survey

Illustrations were created for CoAdaptree’s web-based survey to investigate new adaptive policies for reforestration for BC.
