The Office of the CIO has drafted final amendments to the UBC Information Security Standards that govern the use and protection of university data and computing resources. Based on feedback from the community gathered last year, amendments to Information Security Standards #1, 2, 3, 5, and 14 have now been approved by the Chief Information Officer, and the updated standards are published at the Information Security Policy, Standards and Resources page.
Moving forward, the review team will draft amendments for the next set of standards, publishing them in a series of iterations for comment by the campus community. Thank you to all who continue to participate in this important process – your input is greatly appreciated.
