myVPN
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection uses encryption to protect data and prevent others from listening-in on the data that is transferred between your computer and the campus network. UBC Information Technology offers free VPN services to UBC students, faculty, and staff at both the Vancouver and Okanagan campus.
Update: May 11, 2010
As of May 17, 2010, the vpn.ubc.ca service is no longer available. It has been replaced with the myvpn.ubc.ca services since Fall 2009.Please note that UBC Okanagan's VPN service (vpn.ok.ubc.ca) is not affected.
