Media Capture

Overview

Professional media capture systems are now being integrated across the UBC campus. These systems include fully automated recording with fast online publication of full lectures with little or no change in the way lectures are delivered by the instructor.

Combined presentations with the speaker and their visual supporting content (PowerPoint, document camera, video clips) are published to fully indexed, ready-to-watch web lectures.

Features & Benefits

  • HD or SD Video recording of instructor combined with content from any electronic display source (eg. PowerPoint slides)
  • Each presentation is fully indexed and slides can be text searched
  • Lectures are available to watch on any tablet or smartphone, including iPad, iPod, Android, and Blackberry
  • Integrated Q/A link for student submission of questions to instructor’s email address when watching (optional)
  • Lectures easily integrate with the UBC Learning Management System
