
The 5th Annual UBC Advanced Research Computing Bootcamp took place earlier this month, from July 12-14. This year’s event marked the largest on record with 400+ participants.
The virtual program explored introductory and intermediate topics in Linux, Cloud Computing, GPU Programming, and more. It was open to anyone interested high-performance computing from any academic discipline and skill level.
Participants were from a diverse range of faculties and disciplines, with the majority representing four faculties: Faculty of Applied Science (27%), Faculty of Science (26%), Faculty of Medicine (16%), and Faculty of Arts (7%).
