Scheduled - Purpose
Migrate Appian LFS Schema (lfsm_2) and AARS Schema (aars_1) from the shared IEC (RDS) database to a dedicated Appian (RDS-BPMS) database to prepare for the next peak LFS-related business cycle and improve the IEC RDS resilience.

Maintenance will be performed after hours to minimize any potential impacts.

Appian (lfsm_2 and aars_1) - ( May 24, 2025, 09:00 PT - 19:00 PT)
How does this impact you?

There may be interruptions or outages to Enterprise services that consume data from Appian LFSM or AARS tables for up to 9:25 hours while the Database Split is performed. 

During this maintenance window, LFS users will not be able to access the UI

Impacted Applications:
MULE Application impacted
Common Service/ Cache cannot harvest the award and the founding details during the outage,
Workday STU - Awards and award assignments will not be updated until LFS is back online,
UDAP will not be able to directly connect to LFSM during the outage,
ODMT Service - LFS will stop sending Award offer letters, Donor letters, UBC Advance integration.
LFSM ECE scheduler adapter - it runs a nightly job to check all student ECE, also Appian and CFS consume its endpoints to do ad-hoc checks and CONR generation.

All users and processes for these applications will be impacted as the applications will not be functional during implementation
What do you need to do?
No action is required from end-users or stakeholders during the upgrade process. The technical team will handle the upgrade.
All API services will recover and process data once the service is restored.
