October is Cyber Security Awareness month! As a faculty member or staff at UBC, you may have access to a significant amount of sensitive personal information, such as student or employee information and financial expense data. An information breach can happen to anyone whether through the theft of an unencrypted laptop or unauthorized access to a file which contains sensitive personal data. It is all of our collective responsibility to keep data safe at work and at home. Take steps to protect yourself and others from cyber criminals.
