UBC IT will be presenting at the 2019 CANHEIT-ARC Conference

More than a dozen UBC IT and ARC staff will present UBC case studies and their insights at this week’s CANHEIT-ARC Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Held annually, the conference is the largest gathering of Canadian higher education IT leaders from universities, technical institutes and advanced research computing (ARC) experts. Featured speakers include staff from UBC ARC giving presentations on a wide range of topics including digital research infrastructure, REDCap, and bioinformatics. Other highlights include UBC’s Chief Data Officer, Marcela Hernandez, sharing her experiences on how UBC has developed its data governance strategy and framework, and a presentation from UBC librarian Eugene Barsky on UBC's geospatial data discovery project.
