Update on UBC Information Security Standards Review

As required under the University’s Policy 104, Acceptable Use and Security of UBC Electronic Information and Systems, UBC’s Chief Information Officer has published Information Security Standards, which are mandatory for all users of UBC Electronic Information and Systems.

Earlier this spring, the UBC campus community was asked to review and provide feedback on the university’s Information Security Standards. During the summer, the feedback was reviewed and draft amendments are now available for viewing online. Faculty and staff are invited to provide the second round of feedback on the amendments by Friday, Nov. 23 either though this online form or via privacy.matter@ubc.ca.
