IRP kicks off Town Hall for IT Community

More than 300 staff from UBC’s IT community gathered for a Town Hall organized by the Integrated Renewal Program (IRP) on Monday to hear more about how the IRP would impact IT services to the campus. With opening and closing remarks from Deborah Buszard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal and Andrew Szeri, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and a video from Professor Ono, the agenda topics included a current overview of the IRP by Steering Committee member Ian Cavers, and key highlights on the Application Ecosystem Program (AEP) – a program running in tandem with the IRP to reconcile existing IT systems with the launch of Workday.

“IT staff need to stay informed about the IRP changes to their operational work, and events like these provide a common understanding of what’s to come, and a place for questions and answers,” noted Jennifer Burns, Associate Vice-President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. For more information on how the IRP will transform UBC’s systems and processes to improve collaboration and innovation, please visit the IRP website.
