Meet Aisha Ismail, a dedicated 4th year co-op student on the Communications team at UBC IT. Her journey at UBC has been marked by a commitment to community, learning, and empowerment.
Aisha has been an integral part of the UBC IT team, where she has been engaged in various projects that promote effective communication and outreach. Her role as a co-op student has provided valuable insights into the power of collaboration and the importance of fostering a sense of belonging within the UBC community.
Beyond her role at UBC IT, Aisha is an active member of the UBC campus community. She is involved with two significant clubs that reflect their passion for entrepreneurship and social justice. As a Corporate Relations Coordinator for UBC eProjects, Aisha contributes to nurturing entrepreneurship among students, fostering an environment of innovation and creativity. Additionally, Aisha is a dedicated member of the Black Student Union, which is committed to creating safe spaces for Black students on campus. Her involvement reflects their dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity. When Aisha isn't making a positive impact on campus, she enjoys thrifting, exploring new restaurants around Vancouver, hiking in the scenic landscapes, and watching the serene sunset at Spanish Banks.
