Windows and Software Updates

Windows and software updates are deployed once a month after sufficient testing and validation has been completed. This allows the University to keep all machines updated and protected from security vulnerabilities. Updates are sent silently to workstations to eliminate disruption to clients. These updates are communicated through the IT bulletins page.

Software Center

UBC Software Center is available for Windows-based UBC staff and faculty devices with an Enterprise Active Directory (EAD) account accessing the UBC network. Software Center makes it easy to quickly install university-approved software onto workstations without having to submit a ticket through Desktop Services. Learn more about Software Center.
