Database Administration provides expertise and support in the following five areas:
- Oracle Enterprise Database
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Oracle MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MariaDB
Our services are available to Faculty, Staff and UBC Organization units.
An implementation fee and ongoing annual support fees may apply.
Requirements
- Services offered to UBC organization, faculty and staff
- Will need a virtual server (VM). This can be provisioned by the DBA team.
- Must be one of the five following Database Support options:
- Oracle Enterprise Database - UBC has a campus license for Oracle products (Oracle Software Licensing.) Note: Some Oracle database features require additional licensing.
- Microsoft SQL Server - must be purchased on an individual basis (UBC Campus Agreement)
- MySQL Community Edition
- PostgreSQL
- MariaDB
- Must have a designated Technical Representative (e.g. System Administrator)
- Support only for Oracle Enterprise Database 19c or greater; Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or greater; MySQL 8.0 or greater; PostgreSQL 13; MariaDB 10.3 or greater.
