The Home Drive Storage Service provides UBC Employees with 20GB of storage space at no cost. You can use the Home Drive Storage Service to store your business related files, and incidental personal use, as noted in Policy #104. By storing your files on the home drive service, your files are accessible to you from any computer connected to the UBC network (e.g. from your office or over VPN).
The Home Drive Storage Service also provides protection for your files, as all data stored on your Home Drive is backed up daily, with backups retained for 30 days.
The Home Drive Storage Service is available to active UBC employees. Home Drive accounts for employees are automatically enabled as part of the new employee onboarding process.
