Studio Spaces

Overview

UBC Studios provides a professional media production environment for all UBC faculty and support staff. Whether recording your own DIY content or producing a professional media production, we provide you with the resources required to make it happen.

Educational & DIY Media: Beside professional productions, you may use our facility for developing media content for your online courses, flipped classrooms, MOOCs and other flexible learning content. UBC Studios professional staff are also available to assist you with your production needs if necessary.

Subdomain Registration

Overview

Domain names identify a realm of administrative authority on the Internet and follow the rules and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS). Domain names are organized in a hierarchy of levels. Well known top level domains (TLDs) are .com, .ca, .org, .net. Below these domains are second-level and third-level domains that are open to anyone desiring a public presence on the Internet. UBC manages domain registration for all subdomains falling under ubc.ca.

myDNS

Overview

myDNS is an IP Address Management (IPAM) platform for the UBC IP infrastructure, including DNS and DHCP services. Management of UBC domain names and IP addresses is available to registered UBC network administrators.

Overview

A mailing list is a popular and easy way for groups to share information via email. Mailing lists can be moderated or unmoderated, and subscribing to/from lists is simple.
