AccessUBC

Overview

AccessUBC is a platform that manages access to IT Services for employees at UBC. Using Workday Human Resource Management System (HRMS), as the source of record, AccessUBC can identify active and inactive employee records to determine when access to services should be enabled/disabled.

New employees are automatically provisioned with FASmail, EAD, OneDrive, and receive a notification email informing them of the availability of these services and how to access them.

Wireless Internet Access

Overview

UBC hosts several wireless networks to support students, faculty and staff on campus and at partner institutions. Visit the links below to find out which wireless network will best support your needs.

ubcsecure

"ubcsecure" uses WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) Enterprise and 802.1x for an encrypted and secure wireless connection.

This wireless network is available to everybody within the UBC community with a valid student, faculty, or staff CWL account.

Studio Spaces

Overview

UBC Studios provides a professional media production environment for all UBC faculty and support staff. Whether recording your own DIY content or producing a professional media production, we provide you with the resources required to make it happen.

Educational & DIY Media: Beside professional productions, you may use our facility for developing media content for your online courses, flipped classrooms, MOOCs and other flexible learning content. UBC Studios professional staff are also available to assist you with your production needs if necessary.
