UBC IT Desktop Services provides exceptional information technology solutions and support to the UBC community, facilitating the university's mission as a world class educational and research institution.

UBC IT Desktop Services helps ensure that UBC devices are secured and managed according to UBC Information security standards and keeping UBC data secure using, but not limited to, the following Services:  

Procurement support for computing hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets and monitors supplied to all UBC faculty and staff:

Device Configuration & Management: 

  1. Provisioning, configuration, security enforcement, and application management
  2. Automated operating system patch management within Apple and Microsoft supported lifecycles
  3. Managing and maintaining desktops, laptops and monitors, and other peripherals

Remote Assistance is provided to troubleshoot issues, install software updates, and perform maintenance tasks without the need for physical presence.
