Encryption Services

Overview

UBC’s central McAfee encryption management service is being retired on June 24, 2021

Full-disk encryption is available for faculty and staff-owned computer hard drives (and other mobile devices such as USB keys and flash drives). Encryption helps prevent unauthorized access to data such as Personal Information (PI) and mitigates risks associated with physical loss or theft.

Costs
